My CAS Project Reflection.

Our group's CAS project is completed and printed, and i cannot be any happier.
This project was memorable and especially tough and tedious, but i learnt a lot from it.

We did the project during the two week holidays at the lab. We came very early and we worked around 6-7 hours each day. Initially we had some problems and we had to resort to redo-ing it, but we did not give up and move on.

Later on, we found out that there were still persisting mistakes in our project and we STILL did not give up and re-did it again after school. I was so glad that we did because it was all worth it in the end.

Problems we encountered include

- Journal Entries, in which we were unsure of the transactions and we had to consult our tutors.

- Unfamiliarity of how the program works and what accounting treatment we had to give for the transactions that occurred

- Information overload as we had a lot of details we had to take note of and thus resulted in confusion along the way.

After redoing it the third time, these were the mistakes we discovered:

- No account group for Cash At Bank account
-Put Credit nature for Sales Returns instead of Debit nature
-Excluded 1 transaction by mistake

Finally, after a month, we completed it.

I thank my team for their determination and refuse to give up even though we met with problems along the way.

Through this project, I have gotten closer to my project members as friends, and got to know them a lot better.

What I have learnt:

I also learnt how cooperation and determination plays a big part in a project. I learnt more of the Accpac function techniques and i believe my understanding of the Accounting Subject increased as well. I learnt how to make decisions and also solve problems. I also learnt to never give up. I also learnt how to create a blog, it is certainly easier than i thought it would be. I also familiarized myself with the SAGE Accpac ERP Program, and it is also easier than what i initially thought.

As the quote says 'You reap what you sow'. We have worked incredibly hard for this project, and i am confident that we would reap good results as well.

Now to show some pictures taken!

CAS

Me and my group members are now in CAS lab 9, wrapping up some final details of our project. FINALLY it is going to be completed. Can't wait.

It is so tedious and tiring and it really drains me out. However, I have learnt a lot about Accounting as well as the SAGE Accpacc ERP system. It was definitely more difficult than I thought it would be, but it was also challenging as well.

Can't wait to see the final results!

I shall post pictures next time, stay tuned!
